Health & Safety

Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our attendees. Top Hat is following all federal, state and local protocols to surpass health and safety mandates pertaining to COVID-19 in place at the time of the event.

Current status

  • Full vaccination is mandatory for all attendees and proof will be required in advance of arriving at the event
  • Daily temperature checks and health screening will take place
  • Masks will be mandatory in transition (for example, in the hallways between sessions)
  • Top Hat will work closely with our venue to provide touchless experiences where possible, prioritizing social distancing and frequent cleaning

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we’ll provide ongoing updates here on the steps we’re taking to ensure all attendees are able to enjoy a safe and high-quality event experience.

Is Top Hat requiring proof of full vaccination against COVID-19?

Yes, Top Hat is requiring all attendees be fully vaccinated prior to Top Hat Engage 2022. Fully vaccinated is defined as having received the final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine recognized by the CDC or WHO at minimum two weeks before the start of Top Hat Engage 2022.

I’m unvaccinated. Can I still come to Top Hat Engage 2022 if I show a negative COVID-19 test?

Our policy mandates that only fully vaccinated individuals can attend the event and, unfortunately, we cannot admit entrance to anyone who is not fully vaccinated, even if a negative COVID-19 test is produced.

How will you verify my COVID-19 vaccination status?

As part of the registration process in advance of the event, you’ll be prompted to submit proof of your vaccination status. Top Hat is working with a third party contractor that is HIPAA and PHIPA certified in order to securely manage the submission and verification process. When you register at the event, we’ll double check that your proof of vaccination has been submitted correctly. More details will be provided shortly.

What is the refund policy for Top Hat Engage 2022?

Top Hat will provide a registration refund to anyone not able to attend the event, so long as we’re informed at minimum one week before the start of Top Hat Engage 2022 (February 24, 2022). For any further questions, or to request a refund, please contact

Are masks required at Top Hat Engage 2022?

When you’re seated—for our keynotes, breakout sessions, or a meal—you’re free to go mask-less. Top Hat’s policy is that masks are mandatory in transition, meaning they’ll be necessary in hallways when walking between the rooms where the majority of the event agenda will take place.

What kind of health and safety etiquette should I expect?

Top Hat is working closely with staff at the Chateau Elan to ensure all attendees are comfortable with the level of health and safety provided. Our measures include:

  • Daily temperature checks and health screening questions
  • Frequent cleaning of event spaces
  • Hand washing and sanitizing stations
  • Touchless experiences and social distancing where possible

I have additional questions. Who should I connect with?

Please direct any questions or feedback to our events team.

We’ll continue to update this space as we refine our health and safety mandates. We’ll also regularly communicate our policies to our registrants and invitees for easy access.
