Instructional Designer, Top Hat
Alix Altow graduated with an Honours Specialization in Psychology from Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario. Awarded scholarships for the highest standing in Honours Psychology and Social Psychology Research, her work at the university included developing services for students with physical and learning disabilities. Recently chosen to be the Canadian Ambassador for the Women Ambassadors Forum, Altow has demonstrated her commitment to innovative thinking and to empowering individuals through her work in advocacy here and abroad. As an instructional designer at Top Hat, she has ensured that technology training accommodated students and professors’ needs; as a champion of inclusivity, she continuously promotes the accessibility features of Top Hat to support academic success. Her volunteer work at the Toronto Distress Centre, coaching those in crisis, her passion for dance and travelling and her search for innovative thinkers are important parts of her life.
