Lecturer, Engineering and Technology Math, Ohio University

Blake Regan is a mathematics instructor in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University. His Ph.D. is in mathematics education, and his research interests include assessment, the transition from high school to college mathematics courses, and curriculum development. The courses he currently teaches with Top Hat include precalculus, calculus I and II, and statistics. In addition to teaching these courses he is currently working on the Student Mathematics Resource and Textbook (SMaRT) project. The SMaRT project is designed to create a set of open-source and reduced cost mathematics resources and materials to allow students and teachers to interact with and better understand mathematical concepts. Ohio University’s partnership with Top Hat has created a platform to enhance the materials from the SMaRT project to engage teachers and learners in and out of the classroom.
